#15075 RE: Bird of Prey #15074

What is the benefit to a grandfathered member for becoming a paid subscriber?

Currently, none whatsoever other than appearing in that homepage list. That's the case with at least one of the folks there and I think possibly two. It's based on the date of the last subscription, so, for example, monthly renewals will show up there 12 times a year.

There's a slight possibility that we may end up offering something new in the near future that will have a per-head cost for us and if that's the case, we'll offer an "upgrade" option of roughly the same cost as what this new feature will cost. It's still in such an early stage that it doesn't bear discussing yet.

How much is a lifetime subscription, for a grandfathered member that made a cash contribution before it was required?

Zero. I do have access to the data for every subscription/donation going back to when Matt made a donation option available.

This morning I went through the PayPal and Verisign subscriptions since about March this year and made sure that all of them had last-subscription-dates entered.

I'll also go through my files and make sure I've got the same data entered for mail-in's.

Part of the problem is that prior to about March, the procedure was to set accounts to Grandfathered status when they subscribed. The other kinds of accounts didn't exist.

If you subscribed or donated (any amount, and this goes for EVERYBODY), but http://www.investorshub.com/boards/my_account.asp shows you as any membership level that doesn't contain the word "Subscriber", send me a PM and I'll verify your payment and adjust your account accordingly.

If we end up moving forward with the above-mentioned feature, it'll be given to anyone who subscribed or donated at any time since donations were first made available.
