International Drug and Explosives Detection Firm IDenta Corp. Releases Update on France Marketing Trip
2009-07-06 11:50 ET - News Release
JERUSALEM -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 07/06/09
IDenta Corp. (PINKSHEETS: IDTA) today released an update of the recent marketing trip to France.
CEO Yaacov Shoham states, "I was specially invited by two French law enforcement agencies to attend these very important meeting and would like to release these updates about the following meetings."
The name of the French agencies are:
-- MILDT - the Interdepartmental Mission for the Fight against Drugs and Drug addiction, http://www.drogues.gouv.fr/
-- MNCPC - The French National Task Force for the Control of the Precursor Chemicals of Narcotic Drugs (Mission de Contrôle Des Précurseurs Chimiques de Drogues - MNCPC)
The MNCPC is the same agency which 18 months ago requested IDenta to develop the new line of precursor detectors.
Since then IDenta has developed 5 types of precursor kits so far for the most important precursors (for 3 different types of ecstacy, for heroin and ephedrine).
The precursor kits are already being used by the French precursor agency. The French agency has introduced the heroin precursor in Afghanistan also, where they are currently being used in a large field pilot by the local authorities (under supervision of the French agency).
In the meeting Shoham was informed that the results of the Afghanistan pilot so far are very positive and the French agency is looking to promote the use of the new precursor kits in the future in some other problematic countries; especially in South East Asia, the Middle East and Central Asia.
The French precursor agency is active worldwide and has strong relations with other national and international precursor agencies. IDenta also expects to have many orders from other markets due to the French agencies worldwide connections.
IDenta's precursor kits feature the standard high level of quality of all of IDenta's products.
At this special meeting officers from the French customs and from the customs' laboratory also participated. In the last couple of months the French customs laboratories conducted a very large independent test with IDenta's drug detectors and precursors' kits. The results of the reports are very positive. IDenta received the reports 3 weeks ago (just before the last business trip), and the reports are currently being translated into English by a professional translator. Due to the positive results of the test, French customs' agencies decided to switch to IDenta's different products and the French customs' officers notified IDenta of this decision at the meeting.
The reports (in English) will be available (starting August 1, 2009) to anyone by request at the following e-mail address: fpi@drugsdetector.com.
The French customs' agencies have strong working relations with some French speaking African countries, and IDenta expects to have orders from some of these countries.
IDenta's French representative company also attended the meeting and has done an excellent marketing job among the different French law enforcement agencies. As a result of this marketing, IDenta is already selling a lot of different products in France. In 2009 we expect to have sales just in France of several hundreds of thousands of dollars. This number will increase in 2010 due to the willingness of the different French agencies to use IDenta products only.
The French agencies are convinced of the superiority of IDenta's different products in the chemical reaction process and of being the most safe to use product on the market.
The safety problems of some of other competitors' kits are a huge problem, and are what the French agencies are looking to eliminate. Safety is a first priority for the French agencies trying to protect the end users from being badly hurt, as has happened on some occasions. IDenta's different products are very strict and safe.
The meeting lasted about 3 hours and discussions took place on the best ways to enlarge the use of IDenta's drug detectors and precursors by the different French agencies.
IDenta has been asked and will gladly participate in training seminars for the potential end users of the different local law enforcement agencies. The training program will be implemented and will be supervised in a joint program with IDenta's local representative company.
As was already released in the past, the French agencies are already using IDenta's products and are looking to use IDenta's products exclusively.
The French authorities decided a year ago strategically to move to use only IDenta's products.
IDenta is very pleased with the developments in France and will release more information in the future regarding the other French law enforcement agencies and the penetration of the retail consumer markets through the local retail and drug store chains and by the French language web site (under construction).
