how the hell can it take 6 years to build a helicopter....geez

Mr. Murtha and Rep. Maurice Hinchey (D., N.Y.) aren't backing away from their support for the troubled VH-71 presidential helicopter, which is six years behind schedule and $6 billion over budget. The White House threatened to veto the bill over $400 million in the bill to continue productions of five of the aircraft, which would be built in Mr. Hinchey's upstate New York district.
