OT Good article on Hurricane naming history:

Ad-hoc emale naming system "held until 1979 when Florida feminist Roxcy Bolton badgered the Hurricane Center until officials agreed to stop naming hurricanes exclusively after women. ... Bolton suggested using senators' names, but that idea was rejected." :-D
