I do not think any of us foresaw what is going on now. Literally days away from drilling and we are seeing no volume and no news.
I cannot fathom what is going on but it seems clear to me that both news and price are being controlled. The question that strikes me is how is this advantageous to SEO. Why would holding the price as low as possible until the last possible moment be beneficial to SEO or Chrome? Anyway one way or another we will see something happen very soon.
the only thing I can think of is they are trying to protect the opening of a world class field. Nothing else makes sense. If there were only 245 million barrels there then it would be no big deal. It would just be another good well for them. But the cone of silence is deafening. Why hasn't Chevron drilled again? Are they waiting to see if there really is an overlap of the fields in the blocks? Where is Anadarko?
I'm a little pissed about the media issue as well. They really don't have an excuse for being mute at a time like this. All they would have to do is tell our story and a bit about our potential. Done.
This is why I have sided with Balances' theory. No company in there right mind would be silent right now if future growth was a goal. Just down right doesn't make sense.
As I sit and watch our pps slowly sink I grow more and more disappointed in our management. I tend to think this is a deliberate act for reasons unkown to me BUT I DON'T LIKE IT! Yep, JMHO!
There is no guarantees that the SP will rise when the rigs get on site. Its exciting to some here but to the investment world in general they could care less. Rigs show up on site for other companies on a regular basis and it isnt an event to warrant a rise in the SP or excitement for that matter. So I wont get too excited when that event happens. If there is commercial discovery then that is a reason for an increase in the SP.
