Not sure how you read the sited post and interpreted it. The market today is saying thank you AMD but we only want as many mpus as you are producing, not more. If AMD doubled production they would just have many more mpus in the warehouse.

Well AMD could not rent one from intel, those are all filled up!

confused - If AMD produced more, they may just reduce price some which would bring new customers. Finding the right balance, the razor's edge with the best effect, is the hard part.

As long as this "we only want as many mpus as you are producing" will hold for the next years, this will be fine for AMD.

However, in about a month we will know, how well AMD is selling their CPU. For an indication you can read Reseller Mike's reports.
