#180719 RE: lesnshawn #180716

Here's my .02 on this whole Bena/blog/pr thing.

Like lesn pointed out, this practice of releasing news through Gomo is probably sufficient to inform people who care right now about what's going on. Nobody in the big wide world has ever heard of NeoMedia and it wouldn't matter if they had because it's not a company whose success depends on a public face. Your car isn't going anywhere without crankshaft bearings, but do you really need to know or care who made them?

It all also brings to mind another stock I own. They do 'proper' PRs when they have something important to declare, but there's a couple bloggers/article writers who cover the stock and the company so consistently and comprehensively that their articles show up in news feeds for the stock nearly every day, keeping the name out there and keeping the flow of news going, even if it is colored by their opinions.

I think perhaps when this whole PWC/barcode/whatever thing becomes more relevant to the general population you might see Gomo's posts being picked up by news services, so when Bena or Cian writes something about NeoMedia it will automatically get 'PRed' all over the place by proxy.

Last post for the day so I can't engage a discussion, unfortunately.
