True. And, if you de-jigger the infant mortality rates and 1) don't count deaths which occur days after birth as stillbirths; and 2) allow for the fact that more high-risk babies "saved" at birth inevitably leads to more infant mortality later, the U. S. infant mortality rate is excellent and better than most of the countries which sport flashy results by redefining "infant mortality".
