I have seen this sales method in action, as a friend of mine sells this way. Let me say that a good sales rep can move a LOT of merchandise in one evening, make new contacts, and then turn around and milk those contacts for more sales (by throwing sales parties at the new contacts home). This is an excellent sales strategy, and I suspect it will go over very well because women love to get together for a social party. A relaxing evening among friends browsing/shopping baby clothing is a recipe for success!
