Not a bean counter, a Controller, but a fairly simple question.

Accrued in any circumstance simply means it has occurred but not yet been paid, in this case salaries/payroll. Accruals happen at the end of any period for what has occurred but not yet paid.

Normally they are short term liabilities, meaning they will be paid within one year (in most cases the following period). The fact that they are listed as Long Term Liabilities would indicate that some person(s) have not been paid to the tune of $913K and do not anticipate being paid for over a year's time.

Not necessarily a red flag...could just be a pre-arrangement between officers and the company in the form of salaries, bonuses, stock options, etc.
