That was not the Gallup poll. It was the Newsweek poll with the 45 52 split and +- 4% error. In other words it was not a very accurate poll.

Newsweek and Time are both pro Bush magazines.
The Wall Street Journal and IBD are also very pro bush publications.

Other polls do not show the big bounce reported by Newsweek and Time.
