I haven't checked Dell's products lately - but
(A) Aren't they tied to Intel?
(B) Aren't they tied to sell Microsoft OS?

They aren't getting out because they can't make money, they are getting out because they are locked in agreements with these two titans.

I agree totally there is no way in hell they could make a buck there stuck with those two albatrosses.

Question: Could Dell compete if they were able to sell machines with AMD and say Linux? If they have factories there and direct sales - I would say probably.
