legal shorting inducing panic selling and attracting momentum players causing HFTs. hence the high volume by NITE over the month. i dont believe the NSS theory but i do believ ethere is legal shorting going on on this stock as its very profitable

Do you mean to "deliver"? If you short a stock, you don't have to cover until you feel like covering, as long as you can afford the margin and maintenance.
