Well, it is all hypothesizing. But what do you mean by "the longer this stretches out"? You would like entire companies to be formed and financial sound in a couple of weeks so that your stock will go up? That is much less realistic than your forecasting about P&D above. Look at Metlife and Prudential! Do they go up all the time? Do some DD on them. You'll be surprised by how much they go down from time to time.
