The high spread might have been in anticipation of reactions to the Shelby news for motor home vans:

Anyone familiar with that motor home comp? Is there any kind of other Hickel/whatever-relationship again?

I still think Shelby is not thinking big enough.
It is too much a "we Americans" keeping it inhouse sort of rolling out.
Same applies to Tesla.

The biggest car makers are European.
That is for a clear reason.
Worldwide logistics is the biggest in Germany & The Netherlands together.

If you dont understand that, to target with enough priority, when trucks & vans are the aim, but a motor home builder, ... to me, Shelby first wants to have the patents in a proven model, established by the model itself.

So we might be in for a long wait. He seems to be buying time in this way, albeit for good reasons.
