Anecdote...a doctor prescribed tests I went for, but later disputed, based on little or no responsible reasoning for the tests. The bill started at $2820.00 (still under my insurance deductible , so I'd have to pay cash)

They are now offering to accept $1380.60,saying that's what medicaid would have paid for it.

My offer is for a high priced office visit ...$400

I have Anthem Healthcare(Gawd help me!).
They were bought by another healthcare company and in the purchase 4 members of Management were given 650million dollars in severance pay!!!!
When people screamed and howled and charged corruption, they were told by legals yes, true; but we can legally do nothing about it.
This but one example of how deep the corruption is in U.S.
In China three chinese big boys were found guilty of rank corporate corruption, including funneling big dollars to themselves.
They were summarily shot dead!!!
Hmmmm idea is tempting(vbg)

Alex, Did that about 1 1/2 yrs. ago. Premium went up $400 the 2nd year, yearly premium now $1600 for 1M catastrophic coverage. I played russian roulette for 54 years and got lucky.
