SPPI - I'm curious which of these three things happened

1) SPPI management knew through their communications with the FDA that approval is a certainty and informed the institutional investors who jumped at the chance to get shares at 7. If this were the case I would have to think that material information was shared with only certain investors giving them an unfair advantage and is an SEC violation.

2) The investors are hoping for the best that either the FDA will approve the drug or investors are so enamored with SPPI that they will continue to buy shares such that the price will remain well above 7.1 despite PDUFA being tomorrow. If this were the case these investors are not the brightest bulbs around.

3) Something else that I can't think of, happened.
