Bailey the guy behind this TDGI deal.......He runs a film festival like Sundance called AOF-Action on Film. They even give out Alan J. Bailey awards of excellence.
What caught my eye with this was: TDGI will create, produce and/or acquire professionally produced content in Music and Digital Short-Form and Long -Form Programming. TDGI will produce much of its own original programming, mainly from live sponsored events, which solves licensee and clearance issues.
Then this:Mr. Bailey will be joining the AOF Team in a more formal position as he moves from the studio system to the distribution side of things.
And this: Mentors independent music and film/tv producers and artists to develop ,showcase, budget/financial plan their respective projects and provides recommended direction for possible distribution and promotion.
So each year Bailey has access to 400-500 independent film makers and their content. Looks like Bailey will be using TDGI to pick, produce and distribute HD programming from some of the most promising content he finds each year at his film festival.
This years film festival is about three weeks away: AOF takes place July 24,2009 - July 31,2009
Please welcome as well, Alan J. Bailey; studio executive with Paramount Pictures for the last 35 years. Mr. Bailey will be joining the AOF Team in a more formal position as he moves from the studio system to the distribution side of things. Mr. Bailey was with the AOF from the beginning but has now decided to join us in a more formal and permanent role as our Head Programmer and Executive Producer of Festival Functions. Alan has guided the festival to where it is for the last five years and we hope that his time here will far exceed his long run with the studios.
Mr. Alan Bailey. Senior Studio Executive for more than 30 years. Involved in film and entertainment project financing and financial operations. Mentors independent music and film/tv producers and artists to develop ,showcase, budget/financial plan their respective projects and provides recommended direction for possible distribution and promotion. Mr. Alana Bailey has worked tirelessly as a volunteer to assist the AOF grow and to help guide the festival towards its goal of helping filmmakers establish careers in film.
