I'm afraid I'm veering into politics, but I believe that this is the inevitable end result of a socialist society - eventually attitudes must change or it will consume itself. It's sad because we really have a lot of Libertarian-minded folk, but they end up getting carried along because they want their "fair share" of the payout.

I fear that even when our situation is even more obvious than it is now, many will watch our country decay rather than miss out on their turn to use/abuse the current system.

OK, I'm done now, glad to have that out of my system. <G>
