It all about who you believe. PGS estimated 14.4 billion barrels in the JDZ, and, if memory serves me correctly, 4.5 billion barrels in Blocks 1 through 4.

NSAI comes in with figures that are significantly smaller, a fraction of a fraction of the PGS estimates.

Other experts have quoted 60 billion barrels in the GOG, others a much higher figure.

Who do you believe ??

In a court of law, experts for the plaintiff and experts for the defendant will commonly take completely opposing views on specific tangible items, and even do it under oath.

The truth is somewhere in the middle, but a better way to personally assess which figures are correct, you must also assess the motives each expert may have in his valuation. Could the expert be paid more for a higher valuation, or could he be scared to overestimate, thus underestimate to cover his butt ??

Or, is one expert spot on and the other full of agenda.
