Dow Retreats as Fed Keeps Rate Same
The major indices in New York were mixed Wednesday afternoon after the Federal Reserve kept interest rates the same while it also faced allegations it was involved in a "cover up" on the Bank of America(BAC Quote)/Merrill Lynch merger.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 9 points, at 8314, while the S&P 500 climbed 7 points to 902. The Nasdaq Composite rose 28 points to 1793.

Boeing(BA Quote) was the biggest drag on the Dow for a second day after delaying the first flight of the 787 Dreamliner. Industrials and technology stocks were among the biggest winners, with Alcoa(AA Quote), DuPont(DD Quote), General Electric(INTC Quote) and Intel(MMM Quote) more than 2% higher.
