China Prosperous Clean Energy Corporation Completes Construction of First Stage of Shijiazhuang Project

ANYANG, CHINA -- (Marketwire) -- 01/20/09 -- China Prosperous Clean Energy Corporation, (OTCBB: CHPC), a retailer and wholesaler of compressed natural gas and liquefied petroleum gas through its subsidiaries based in China, today announced that the Company has completed the first stage of construction for natural gas distribution network for residential usage in Shijiazhuang Yuanshi County. This project has now entered the second stage which includes a CNG mother station, an additional 64.7 kilometers of natural gas pipeline and related facilities.

There are over 11,000 taxies, 3,000 buses and 1,500 mini-buses while only 11 CNG stations are currently available in Shijiazhuang. The CNG mother station under construction is mainly for wholesale and retail of CNG for local vehicles using natural gas as alternative energy. The total investment of this project in Shijiazhuang is approximately $14.3 million.
