That article is spot on. We have to get our turnouts cleaned after each fire and send them in to our cleaning company , thus our department ensures we all have a 2nd set of gear to wear once the original gear is sent in to get cleaned.

That product is fantastic, to get the cleaning etc based on that article you supplied to me.

Furthermore, it used to be "badge of homor" having filthy turnouts etc to show you work at a busy station and do the job, not just sitting back at some "country club" fire station looking pretty etc.

Our department requires cleaning of gear no ifs ands or buts after fires etc, and for us to place 2nd set in till 1st set is back usually a 24-48 hour turnaround.
