I do not believe the AS was raised to address any naked short directly, as in supplying them with shares to cover. UNLESS it was done through Citibank via their recent acquisition of Nite's derivatives group. It is always POSSIBLE (not likely imo but possible) that somehow a deal was struck to give Citibank a huge equity position, cmkx a huge cash infusion and NITE shares to cover their short. Again, I do NOT suspect this is true but it is not impossible imo.

Otherwise, my personal belief is that either there is a big backer that wants in on an equity position in exchange for big cash or it is a precaution to prevent anything hostile to the company based on the events about to possibly transpire with respect to any mergers, acquisitions, ipos, etc.

Still all just guesswork. I REFUSE to believe any one theory at this point except my "Eat some popcorn" theory. I think we're just about through the coming attractions. The main show should begin soon imo.
