Seems like a normal mp3 player except that it has a line in to record a source audio wav and then it has the ability to convert it to mp3 inside the unit. Very intersting, but you can do that now on your computer if you have a line in and an mp3 encoder. Not a bigger threat than any other threat that the music industry faces today. If Darknoise works (still waiting not so patiently for any letter of a word on this one), the scenarios above won't be a problem.
