I spoke to a friend that happens to have an executive position with a large casino in Reno. I asked him if the town of Berlin could attract a casino to open there and he said he would look into the town and get back to me. His answer is as follows;

"Are you punking me?" "Charlie Manson has a better chance of being named the next Pope!"

I apologized for wasting his valuable time.

but you keep clicking your heels three times and say "there's no place like Caesar's Palace...there's no place like Bellagio...."there's no place like Harrah's"

Rich: If I understand you correctly, you'd favor a casino that would send its money outside the local area, that would attract crime, prostitution, drugs and all the other wonderful extras over a clean biomass power plant that would invest millions of dollars into the local economy, provide 40 direct, hundreds of indirect honest jobs and that would work with the city to ensure its best interests are met?

I apologize for the run-on, but come on now...

Daydream time is over, its time to get Berlin to work. Berlin's skilled workforce are not blackjack dealers, rich, but I believe they would feel right at home at a power plant.

The time to discuss alternatives to Laidlaw is over. Laidlaw's permit applicaiton is coming, and with that will be their EFSEC permit... then construction begins.

Tick tock.

Cheers rich

Here are some things I took from the article:

1. No sites have been selected.

2. It doesnt mention nor should it LLEG, this has no impact on our project moving forward its, I would think a casino would be encouraged to move into a town that has a large scale industrial facility somebody has to have money to gamble.

3. The excerpt below indicates how far along they are, ITS JUST AN IDEA.

Why this stuff makes it to our board I don't know people need a hobby.

A casino in Berlin still faces some hurdles. The first is getting legislature passed to allow slot machines and expanded gambling in the state. The Senate last week included expanding gambling in its budget bill which is now in confer-ence committee. While the House rejected an earlier gambling bill,

If I was a betting man, I would bet the main reason they are considering Berlin, is because they think there will be some economic recovery when the Bio-mass plant gets up and running, and there WILL BE disposable income available in the local economy. JMHO
