Yeah, and you just double your initial investment...stating that from the IPO staying at $20/share. IF it goes UP...woooohoooooooooooooo. And I am sure it will...seeing how much of a frantic this new found technology is for the FUTURE.

Nice idea but...

Wouldn't you ask $10 per share on a 50Mil. share offering to net a $500Mil. IPO?

Best, JP

Assuming the 50m shares issued in the IPO get priced at $20.
The underwriters and investment bankers will have something to say about that.

Actually hangdog, in accordance with the mechanics of my proposal a "consortium" of companies would fund the new entity, thereby lessening the burden on any one company.

Hangdog: It is not worth anywhere near $500M - unless you are talking about straight goodwill. If you want to understand the market value of patent portfolios, spend some time reading about the Ocean Tomo auctions. These types of auctions are great way to dispose of portfolio's quickly and at the best price.

Since the beginning of the recession, we have seen a marked decrease in patents with reductions in applications, acquisitions, and acquisition prices.

It would be reasonable to hope for $300,000 for the patents in today's marketplace.

What is probably worth significantly more is key clients and partnerships - essentially the infrastructure to get into the marketplace rapidly. That suggests the best offer would come from a new market entrant.
