Isn't there a law in the US that no single bank can control more than 10% of American deposits or something to that extent? If that is the case, than the merger you speak about would be illegal wouldn't it?

I would call that more (typical) Yahoo rumor than news.......

I think its more likely C might start selling off pieces of itself to a multitude of other fins, if I were to take a guess on the future.....
