Re: First of all, we wanted to measure the consumption of the configurations when the processor was in load under Prime95. In all the cases, l?alimentation, the graphics board, the hard disk and the memory were identical, only the mother chart and the processor changed.

These data are obtained starting from various measurements taken at the exit of the socket-outlet, and the real consumption of the configurations is thus less puisqu?il is not necessary to lose sight of the fact than the output d?une food is 70 to 80%:

Ignoring the translation errors, this still is not much more information than what the ZDNet article offered. I can put a little faith in the similarity of the measurements, but they have still not disclosed whether the Athlon 64 systems were using a DBS feature (Cool & Quiet), or how big of a difference it might make using applications other than Prime95.

By the way, the difference between the measurements here of an Athlon 64 3800+ (2.4GHz) and Pentium 4 3.4E is 48W under load, not 60+W under idle, as you originally claimed. Assuming I trust these results, I would still like to see the dissipation of a Pentium 4 running speedstep, or an Athlon 64 without C&Q, for comparison, as well as other applications with varying power levels.
