This may have something to do with todays heavy vol. HANOI -(Dow Jones)- Vietnam's Ministry of Finance said it signed an agreement Tuesday with the European Investment Bank for a loan of EUR100 million to fund clean energy projects.
The ministry said 70% of the loan will be used to fund renewable energy projects and projects on promoting efficient use of energy. The remaining 30% will be used to fund projects on transferring technologies from the European Commission to Vietnam, the ministry added, without elaborating.
The ministry will provide the loan through four state-run banks: Vietnam Development Bank, Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development, The Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam and Vietnam Bank for Industry & Trade.
