Way over my head, like why MMs who are selling short AND holding inventory to cover their short position would then want to sell that inventory because they were being investigated? Wouldn't they want to hold inventory to cover their supposed short position if they were manipulating? Or how anyone could be shorting a stock near its all-time low without dropping the price significantly and without believing that it was going much lower? Or why you would not buy a stock which you thought was worth at least 10x its current price until it fell an additional 15%? Obviously there are greater minds at work here than mine.
