Suddenly everybody on iHug sounds like a lawyer... That's pretty funny in and of itself.

That is true. That's why I mentioned the

'ongoing investigation'. All indicators seem to point to further charges moving forward.

I think once some deals are cut, and little birdies sing, the dragnet will turn up some other interesting characters, whether being real people, or a real person in the form of an organized entity, aka corporation. I also think 'The Group of Eight' could be considered such an entity, if it serves the State's purpose.

It's also plausible that they have such an open and shut case, they didn't feel RICO was needed. The Feds like to use RICO when they're having difficulties connecting the dots.

With regard to Matt's separate indictment, I suspect it revolves around his willingness to cooperate, and perhaps turn State's evidence. All mere speculation though.. but I think Matt would 'do the right thing' as opposed to stonewalling.

RICO usually requires that the defendants operated an entity, incorporated or otherwise. I doubt they will supersede the indictment materially since they investigated the for two years.

I am still trying to figure out why they charged Matt in a separate indictment. It allows the defendants to easily seek separate trials.
