Well, okay not copy EXACTLY, but "TOTALLY new"? That just doesn't sound reasonable.

alan, good argument, wrong conclusion. You do show why Fab 36 will be 65nm from the start (just as they say). If AMD has to spend a bunch of engineering time and money on bringing up 90nm on IBM-style equipment, then the effort is better spent on 65nm directly.
