Thomson pulls their data from government submissions. Essentially once it is filed with the SEC (or the Canadian equivalent) Thomson then adds that to their M&A database. So the missing shares could be explained by the fact that the rest of the shares were acquired on the open market as stated in the last PR. I don't know what kind of effect that will have on the pps
