#42133 RE: Windsock #42131

Does anybody think it's amusing how the same people who argued so strenuously about Dothan's slight advantage in power consumption over a low-power A64 or Athlon-M, even though the advantage is largely overshadowed by the other components in a mobile system, are now the ones pooh-poohing Prescott's widely known power consumption problems and blaming the other system components?

How they're actually trying to convince us that Prescott and Hammer have roughly equivalent power consumption?

I mean, there's a whole industry that is actually wondering whether Prescott will make water-cooling mainstream?

How Intel is "innovating" new heatsink designs, and designs its new socket to decouple the cpu retention mechanism from the heatsink mounting mechanism?

Educating us about proper and improper scientific experiment processes?

Educating us about what constitutes valid and invalid evidence?

When they know full damn well that Prescott has thermal problems?

The most zealous 'Droid goes to nowhere near these extremes to defend every little hint of shortcoming...
