My guess is partnering with Addax in Irag. They are Russian aren't they? Seems like Middle East likes dealing with the Russians. And, Russia is as desirous as China in gaining energy supplies around the world. The US is the only nation determined to undermine it's own self interest.

I've just heard some people talking about Lukoil linking up with Addax in Iraq. That whole negotiation is very dicey given the area in question and its future subsequent to U.S. withdrawal.

BUT, it's only talk - nothing solid.
