I agree. I think there is a perception that liberals don't believe in a free market. The problem isn't a free market; rather it's a free market run amok. Lack of regulation, government looking out for big businesses, not the small businesses in the first place, which put small businesses in the precarious position(s) they're in right now. It is complex and complicated.
Just to point out, too, the liberal/conservative name-calling/labeling needs to be re-examined or just put to rest. In some aspects, I'd be considered a liberal, and in other aspects, I'd be considered a conservative. I'd say that's more the reality than the exception with most people....and the beat goes on.
