Thanks for explaining, though I'm not sure I agree that one necessarily follows from the other. As an example, the market, anticipating the end of a recession, will typically head up even though unemployment numbers are still rising, people are in a funk about continuing economic and personal financial worries, etc., etc. I'm not saying that's where we are now, but it could be.
