The KDS does not produce energy!!!
It only removes moisture and reduces particle size (and kills bacteria).

However, it does use about 75-85kWh to process a ton of "soft" biomass.

The product coming out of the KDS can be sold, burned, thrown away, etc, so the value of what comes out of it depends on what it is used for.

Question 2: How does the AGES equipment convert biomass waste into 'green' fuel?
Wet biomass is dewatered and disintegrated by a unique AGES KDS patented process. The result is a low moisture (8%-16%) dust with a controlled particle size. This low moisture dust has a high Btu value of approximately 15 MBtu/ton for typical biomass. This dust may be burned to replace fossil fuels or in certain cases, may be returned to the process. (video)

The AGES process is unique because of its ability to dewater and disintegrate biomass in a single step without the use of heat or grinding. The patented AGES technology removes water from biomass using only 1/4 of the energy required to dry biomass by conventional methods.
