#2472 RE: 55 chevy #2471

55: First, did you see my post in blog? I didn't see your timing questimate, but even IF a batch of new membranes were received yesterday (which, knowing China, that did not occur), then they could have a few assmbled and checked out in couple of weeks, then shipped to US for check-out if the boards actually work - but not in quantity, and almost guaranted still gonna have bugs once we get to spend some time using them. I seriously doubt the new membranes will work (usual is minimum of 3 iterations to get 80% compliance IF you have good set of detailed drawings and specs, AND a trustworty local/China representative), then no telling what's next - every step is a 6-week TAT (turn around time), every step is in 6-week increments with those folks - that's why I'm so disppointed in PHEI going off-shore: false economy and lots of wasted time using that approach (I've got 40 yrs experience backing that up). Entire start to finish should have been 6 months using parallel prcesses and flow - my biggest concern is there is guaranteed to be at least one other competitor doing the same or almost sam ething, and regardless of patents the first to market makes the dough. Period. I know John thinks these guys have been patient, etc, but he obviously hasn't worked with them before - total different definitions (note plural) of integrity, 3especially with the "new" and "changed" economic conditions. If we have a dozen decent working lapboards before end of summer we'll be doing good. Now I just hope I am wrong.
