I generally talk to a lot of the desks that have these rumors - it tarded way too fast to be a disseminated rumor (and I didnt hear it)

My 2 thoughts are it was a bear raid meant to run the stops right before the halt or it was a genuine factor of 100 mistake I mentioned last week. It happens - and if you pay attention you can take advantage. But many times it has a messy cascading effect that a true mistake cause stops at major whole #'s to be executed as the mistake is executing still. So it snowballs - that 1m sell order that was supposed to be 10,000 then triggers 2 million shares of stops @ market as it goes through the major whole #'s i.e. 20 15 10
