livefree_ordie: Did you listen to the CC? IM stated in that licensing would be on a per-click-basis, same as internet advertising model.

Nobody knows the amount per click they negotiated. But, based on IM's statement in the CC on this, I'm positive (IMO) they negotiated a per-click licensing schedule w/ Neustar and IMO, they will be paid out monthly by Neustar for every click that goes through their clearing house. Also, it looks like Neustar is setting up to be THE central clearing house for 2D barcodes in the U.S., similar to the clearing house they have setup for all phone calls and SMS messages in the U.S. No different, just a different delivery method.

My view is clearly that Neustar is being setup as the gatekeeper and IMO, there will be no need for Neustar to inform their customers exactly how much of their payments to Neustar will be covering NEOM's entitled licensing fee. Afterall, what would be the point? Who cares at that point. Companies will simply want to cross the bridge because of the potential the indirect method of processing 2D barcodes can have on their companies bottom lines. $$$

It's really pretty simple. And, for those that just can't seem to comprehend what's going on here and continually question the potential and means, IM(strong)O, they're just playing the part of deliberate idiots for an ulterior motive of driving the price down for their own selfish gains (or the gains of those that pay their salaries).

As far as patent infringement goes...IM(strong)O, if Neustar "gets it", so does MSFT, GOOG and all others. They aren't that dumb, NSR or the rest.

Wake-up, livefree_ordie...time to rise and shine. A new day is born.
