texan77,Good information, I have processed 1031 exchanges for clients, however do we know if real property, or just mineral rights were sold? Either way I assume it is the hands of attorneys to insure that any transaction is compatible with IRS requirements.

I believe any value form the sale will be in the form of restricted shares, that will not require any IRS action until those shares are registered and sold, then handled as any other capital gain entity.
