Just as important is that K7 Sempron 2800+ beats 2.8 Celeron D noticeably. Prescott beats Northwood at the same clock which Intel must be pleased about and A64s generally rule. We need some of those 2800/2600+ K8 Semprons on the desktop too to wreak some more havoc which we will get in 2005 at 90nm no doubt, but as I wrote earlier and just recently confirmed the K7 Sempron is a cheap Chinese special and you can't really argue with a 1m initial order now can you ;-). Say what you will about Hector's cautious understated style the man *knows* how to cut deals with other companies !
