Convertible Debentures This is the way this company obtained financing by selling CD's to venture capital funds which specialize in making high risk investments in return for potential high rewards. The conversion of the CD's to common stock has resulted in 6.5 billion shares being issued. Most likely more shares will have to be issued for more conversions unless my theory is correct that financial troubles will require a restructing of some type to enable the CD holders to get some of their remaining investment back.
