Out of curiosity why do you see them as idiots for their pricing? What should they have priced at and why? Coincidentally both your examples got bought out for extreme amounts of money.

I'm not sure i understood where you were getting at with your answer to the pricing comment. Were you in agreement with dew or not so much? My opinion is its a bit of a stretch to price based on an extremely limited amount of people who will self pay. Maybe they could offer a 50% cash discount for Paypal direct deposit to Gold's personal account :)
Genentech priced avastin a lot lower than the market research stated they should. Based on the uptake, it appears they ahve done quite well (for patients and themselves). Who gives a shit what the wall st. journal thinks about it?
