I thought that one of your reasons against "ignore" was the hiding of messages didn't help towards the goal of more posting (therefore more traffic).

Traffic is important to me, but "the right kind of" traffic is what matters most. I wouldn't take 10 times RB's traffic if I had to take 10% of the utter crap posting with it. In any event, the impact of Ignore on traffic would be so miniscule as to likely not even be measurable unless I wanted to deal in thousandth's of a percent.

As much as I think "surely not!" on the notion of someone suing because I didn't prevent someone else from typing to/about them on iHub, I have to admit I've seen far more unlikely things happen.
