You are missing the point. When gasoline goes beyond thru the roof, then CNG will take over. Gasoline will be $3.00 to $4.00 again very shortly. Natural gas even if it doubles in price, it will still be a viable replacement for gasoline.

Retrofitting is more expensive than factory alteration. Just like fitting your car for A/C versus factory A/C.
