#24998 RE: food4thought #24996

"One who truly believes in the science would certainly have to be a buyer at these prices considering any potential for success with regards to SA or ADHD short term." No, food4thought, i don't agree on your point.

One issue is if they don't get a buyer, partner is they could do a massive dilution, raising a few months worth of cash. In such a scenario, it would be wise to buy after the dilution. I would place the possibility of a reverse split in this category as well. Perhaps both in one shot. Second, what if CX1739 flops in sleep apnea? You could see the company going even more virtual, cutting back on all operations except perhaps the CEO and a lawyer, putting itself up on the block for an variable period of time; how long would it take to sell the patent estate?

I believe even more strongly in the science, but luck, management, and money all count. I think it will work out one way or another but there is clear uncertainty. I do not agree with Iggs' assertion that the company is trying to avoid a 'going concern' statement. That is ludicrous. Of course the company is running on fumes at this point. My fear here in the immediate term is a buyout on the cheap... say 50 cents. It will feel good for some... for a few moments, but undercuts the potential of the ampakines for even a single application.
