NX bit is a nice to have feature but lets be realistic. It stops one type of attack. It does not eliminate the virus threat, there are MANY other ways that your computer can be attacked by a virus, the most easy is a trojan .exe file that some novice clicks. AMD has seriously over positioned this technology. I wonder if all those customers who get virii despite their enhanced virus proof AMD chip will sue?
The technology is good. In fact its been in Itanium for years now:) So forget AMD inventing this thing. But its one type of attack. There are plenty of attacks that have nothing to do with this feature.
